Ski Belleayre, come home to the valley
Phoenicia Lodge is about 12 minutes from Belleayre Mountain by car in normal conditions, and about 18 minutes from Hunter. Ski either mountain, then come back to a private cabin, a spacious suite or an inn room in the Upper Esopus Valley, with the Esopus Creek steps away and a fire waiting in the Great Room.
Cabins, suites and rooms
Private studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom cabins give a ski group its own space, with kitchens for an early breakfast before the lifts or a quiet dinner after a long day. Spacious suites in the main lodge suit couples and families who want more room to settle in, and our distinctive inn rooms make an easy base for a short mountain getaway. Traveling with your dog? Dog-friendly cabins are available; mention it when you book and we will reserve the right one.
Belleayre in every season
In winter, Belleayre's lower-mountain learning areas suit anyone starting out, while the upper mountain and the Catskill Thunder Gondola open up longer runs for experienced skiers. The rest of the year, the mountain and the trails around it are for hiking and mountain biking, and the Esopus Creek is a two-minute walk from the Lodge for fishing and swimming.

Breakfast
A complimentary continental breakfast of fresh, local baked goods, fruit, yogurt and coffee is served daily from 8am-10am in the Great Room.

Enjoy our 24-hour complimentary tea and coffee bar, water, mini fridge and microwave access conveniently located in our butler's pantry off the Great Room.
Grounds
Phoenicia Lodge is located directly in the center of the Catskill Mountains! Our grounds invite the relaxation you crave, with many thoughtful outdoor seating options, a seasonal fire pit, a beautiful patio, grills for our guests, and beautiful landscaping.
Housekeeping
In response to the pandemic, we are fully sterilizing rooms in between guests, rather than offering housekeeping during your stay. We are committed to providing you with an environment that aligns with expert protocols for a safe stay.
Great Room
Enjoy a seat by the fireplace in our newly renovated Great Room, borrow one of our hand-selected books to read, or play a game with friends. Designed with our guests in mind, our Great Room offers several types of comfortable seating and is surrounded by windows for natural lighting
Pet Policy
We allow pets in all cottages. If you would like to bring your fur baby along on your trip, please specify so we reserve the appropriate room for you.
Pets are not allowed in the main lodge building including the Great Room.
