GATEWAY TO ADVENTURE

For outdoor enthusiasts, the Lodge's location is unmatched. Just steps from the Esopus Creek and minutes from Belleayre and Hunter Mountain, Phoenicia Lodge is your basecamp for exploring the best hiking, skiing, waterfalls, fishing, and biking the Catskills have to offer.

From fly fishing to mountain biking, skiing in the winter to swimming holes in the summer, there's no off-season here — only new ways to experience the landscape. We also offer guests half- and full-day bike rentals.

CATSKILLS SKIING DESTINATION

When winter hits the Catskills, Phoenicia Lodge puts you right where you want to be. We're one of the few hotels conveniently located to both Belleayre and Hunter Mountain, so you can chase the best snow and terrain each day.

After a day skiing Belleayre's family-friendly slopes or Hunter's legendary terrain, come home to a warm fire in our Great Room and a good night's sleep before you do it all again tomorrow.

SHOPPING & DINING

Beyond the outdoor adventure, Phoenicia and nearby Woodstock offer a vibrant local culture, with some of the best restaurants and shops in the Catskills.

Art galleries, independent boutiques, and beloved local eateries are just a short drive away. Stop by the lobby for our curated list of local favorites to guide your exploration.

land acknowledgement

We acknowledge Phoenicia Lodge was built upon Mohican (Mohhecconnuck) ancestral land.

As settlers on their indigenous homeland,  we have a duty to recognize the Mohican nation as the original stewards of Phoenicia and beyond. It is our hope that this land acknowledgment will help empower First Nation voices and inspire others in the community to pursue a stronger, more inclusive, and equitable future for our country.

We seek to educate ourselves while contributing to the Mohican peoples by raising awareness and learning how to be a better ally against continued colonization. To learn more about their "Many Trails" throughout history, please visit the Mohican website here.
